Job Description:

Responsible for representing Accounts Receivable Services ("ARS") in conciliation court to protect the client's interest and settle outstanding debtor accounts.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Manages collection activities prior to court action in an attempt to resolve the outstanding balance
    • Reviews account activities to ensure compliance with all agreements and requirements.
    • Evaluates assigned delinquent account files and makes a determination on which accounts to take to court.
    • Aids attorneys in the resolution of patient accounts.
    • Maintains debtor account inventory.
  • Prepares accounts & documentation prior to court
    • Prepares legal documents.
    • Arranges delivery of legal correspondences.
    • Prepares finance documents prior to purchase.
    • Prepares and requests check for court fees.
  • Represents accounts in Conciliation court
    • Meet with consumers at court (or virtual) to attempt to resolve the outstanding balance prior to court.
    • Adheres to court decorum, policies, and procedures.
    • Creates and maintains relationships with court employees.
  • Post court responsibilities
    • Handle all incoming documents relating to court case.
    • Monitor court judgements and arrangements for compliance.
    • Files additional paperwork with the court as needed.
    • Prepare judgements to go to outside attorney.
  • Helps train Conciliation Court Representatives (Associate) and cross trains with other departments
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the
    job description
  • 3 to 5 years collections experience (medical collections preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Vocational degree in Business, Health science, or related field a plus
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Compliance and/or experience working with courts
  • Escalated collections experience
