PurposeProvide short-term individual and group counseling and outreach to students who seek services with our center with concentration in disordered eating and/or body image difficulties. Outreach activities may include presentations to campus partners, supervision and training of social work / psychology interns and post-doctoral psychology practicum students, and development of training materials used within the center. ResponsibilitiesProvide short-term individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, prevention and outreach services to undergraduate and graduate students with emphasis on supporting students who present with disordered eating and/or body image difficulties.
Reviews client record to determine the progress, effectiveness, and appropriateness of treatment services offered. Maintains current, accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with state and federal law, professional ethics, and Counseling and Mental Health Center, CMHC, policies. Coordinates referrals between CMHC and university or community service providers. Provide clinical consultation to others on an as-needed basis and seeks consultation when appropriate. Provide urgent care services as necessary to students.
Provide clinical training and supervision to social work and psychology interns, as well as pre-doctoral psychology practicum students.
