As anAssembler Operator II, you will be trusted to perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations and subassemblies such as socket bonding, plastic joining, component assembly, wrapping, material packaging and product testing at our Manufacturing Facility in Houston, TX.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Operating manufacturing packaging equipment that packages materials or products by inserting them into containers or filling containers from spouts or chutes.
  • Monitoring, evaluating, and adjusting packaging equipment to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Restocking machines with packaging materials.
  • Applying basic computer skills to access online resources and complete online training: Email, Workday, VEEVA.
  • Following good manufacturing practices, such as good documentation practices.
  • Reading, understanding, and following all Work Instructions, (MAP's, SOP's) at all times.
  • Conducting quality inspections on products in accordance with quality specifications.
  • Packing, wrapping, securing, or labeling containers.
  • Working on assembly line and placing components in accurate sequence or may interact with automated production equipment.
  • Reworking or reprocessing assemblies and subassemblies.
  • Having a positive attitude and working in a team environment.
  • Functioning in a high-paced environment with minimum supervision.
  • Material handling tasks requiring usage of handheld device used for inventory transactions in warehouse management system.
  • Operating automated equipment.
  • Resolving minor equipment issues.
  • Equipment and line setup, creation and handling of quality data, and line clearance activities.
  • Functioning as a backup to the Line Lead and training others on basic operations.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • Work hours: D shift (12 hours): Thursday - Saturday and every other Wednesday, 4:00 PM - 4:00 AM CST
  • Travel Requirements: No
