Teaching load is four Spanish language and/or Spanish linguistics classes each semester (12 credit hours). The primary emphasis for contract faculty is excellence in teaching. Expertise in linguistics required.

Master's degree in Spanish or appropriate related field, from an accredited institution by August 2025. Expertise in Spanish linguistics. Native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English. Evidence of successful Spanish language teaching at the college level.

ABD or Ph.D. in Spanish Linguistics or appropriate related field, from an accredited institution by August 2025. Native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English. Evidence of successful Spanish language teaching at the college level.
