DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As part of this position, you will need to have a comprehensive understanding of the Motor Vehicle Code, as well as the procedures and regulations set by the Department of Transportation for registration and licensing. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and handling various motor vehicle and driver license applications. This includes tasks such as renewing or replacing driver licenses, occupational limited licenses, and non-driver photo identification cards. You will also be responsible for updating commercial driver license medical certifications; processing driver license restorations; and handling requests for paid information or refunds.

Additionally, you will review and process applications for ownership transfers of motor vehicles; issue different types of registration plates; process requests for imported or exported vehicles; correct odometer readings; issue salvage vehicle titles; handle motor vehicle registration renewals and updates; and manage lienholder information and registration suspensions.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (commonwealth title); or
  • One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
