What the day will look like

  • Assess, understand and explain the management and professional liability exposures of public company clients.
  • Design and implement management and professional liability risk transfer solutions.
  • Analyze and present sophisticated insurance contact concepts directly to clients.
  • Negotiate market-leading insurance policy terms and conditions with underwriters.
  • Develop and manage professional relationships with clients and prospects (primarily within the department of treasury, legal or risk management).
  • Utilize effective underwriter relationships to improve broking results via a deep understanding of marketplace, carrier appetite and capabilities to be able to leverage carriers effectively.
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues to timely deliver professional work product.
  • Stay current and present to clients on insurance market participants, developments, trends and underwriting practices.
  • Participate as needed in unscheduled client matters including claim consultation, noticing and resolution; mergers, acquisitions and divestitures; and initial public offerings.
  • Manage an assigned book of client accounts, building out specialized teams dedicated to ensuring proficient client service.
  • Lead RFP activity and participate in new business development opportunities.
  • Build internal working relationships with Aon product specialists, brokers, producers and account executives.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • 10+ years of commercial insurance, risk management and/or legal experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Acquire and/or maintain appropriate property & casualty insurance producer license(s).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Willingness and ability to travel.
  • Effective oral presentation and written communication ability.
  • Ability to methodically work through a project-plan and meet immovable deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Experience working in a team environment.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • 10+ years of management and professional liability brokerage and/or underwriting experience.
  • Insurance, risk management, legal and/or finance-related degree.

Work Style: Hybrid - In office 3-4 days a week.

Pay Transparency:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $165,000 to $230,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
