Inova Health is looking for a dedicated SharePoint Developer to join the Team. This role will be full-time day shift from Monday - Friday, remote position.

The SharePoint Developer is responsible for advancing the Information Technology SharePoint system, Inova Intranet, Microsoft Teams, and the SFX SharePoint platform's foundational functionality through out-of-the-box capabilities and advanced application development. Supports critical operational services and high-priority strategic projects, and serves as an essential resource for several Information Technology Service projects, including the intranet rebuild and customer/team member experience within the SFX SharePoint environment. Encompasses developing and altering code, creating web parts and apps specific to the SFX platform, debugging software tailored for this environment, and providing personnel training to align with the nuances of SFX SharePoint.

SharePoint Developer Job Responsibilities:

  • Anticipates changes to Microsoft offerings through a broad understanding of the technical issues. Partners with Infrastructure and Information Management capability teams to architect and deliver current and future platform solutions.
  • Designs, develops, and customizes Intranet, department sites, projects sites, and team sites for potential integration with other enterprise systems and third-party products.
  • Showcases practical SharePoint Online product experience, including configuration, administration, development, and deploying solutions.
  • Demonstrates subject matter expertise working with Microsoft 365 services, including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate/Flow, Dynamics 365), Forms/Planner, SPFx, SPMT, Sharegate, custom webparts, and Visual Studio Code.
  • Applies good front-end/CSS skills and experience, integrating SharePoint Online with third-party applications using CSOM, JSOM, API, etc.
  • Possesses strong knowledge of SharePoint Application models, practical experience in SharePoint Search Service, User Profile Service, and other Service Applications, and expertise in PowerShell.
  • Translates requirements into designs and implements final solutions. Develops SharePoint web parts, site templates, content types, and Single/Multipage Applications using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and AngularJS hosted on SharePoint Online.
  • Implements and deploys custom SharePoint features, including custom webparts, to enhance out-of-the-box functionality and develop web services for external and internal consumption.
  • Develops new user-friendly features, ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs. Tests the customizations that have been implemented to existing and new systems and troubleshoots the user-specific and systems-specific issues. Documents the technical aspects of the existing system.
  • Sets up content architecture in a current site structure, with emphasis on end-users being able to maintain their content themselves. Develops web services for external and internal consumption.
  • Consults with clients to develop standards and governance related to information architecture, navigation architecture, UX/DX, content management, and confirmation.
  • Assists functional teams on optimal use of SharePoint, and associated tools/modules through training, coaching, and documentation. Ensures sites and site collections are configured in compliance with local policies and configuration standards.

Additional Requirements:

  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday day-shift, remote
  • Education: Associate's Degree or HS Diploma/GED and four years of IT-related work experience
  • Experience: 6 years of SharePoint Development and hands-on experience in SharePoint 2016 or Higher and SharePoint Online Office 365 platform design and maintenance
