CS Arpac Operator Job Description

Function: Operations

Summary Operates multiple ARPAC machines to convert boxes into cases while completing quality checks such as weight control, leakers and labeling.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Work with all departments to meet or surpass the plant's safety goals. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures. Starts up, operators, and shuts down secondary packaging equipment, ARPAC, bar coders, Video jets, and conveying systems. Changes and threads film. Stacks off cases onto pallets when the line to palletizer stops. Monitors mechanical operations of equipment, un-jams machines, helps troubleshoot and notifies technician and/or Coordinator of issues. Perform multiple tasks simultaneously. Monitors quality issues; performs and records audits on pouch and box code legibility and correctness, weights, seals, and straws. Calibrates Check weigher every hour. Communicates with Material Handler to ensure adequate quantities of correct packaging materials are on the line. Maintains good housekeeping, and performs Mini cleans and CIP's. Provides input toward team development and participates in Green Room process improvement meetings. Follows Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Dress Code policies. Provide support in the filler room during CIP. Have knowledge of OEE and the Hertzler program. Performs other duties as assigned.

This position also has accountability for QRMP standards as outlined in the Winchester Kraft Heinz QRMP accountability document.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Understand and follow company and site policies and procedures on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), Hold Tags, HACCP, USDA, Foreign Objects, Safety and Security.

WORKING CONDITIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Personal Protective Equipment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to wear appropriate company-issued safety and GMP equipment, including: steel toe shoes that are also slip resistant, hearing protection, bump cap, and other personal protective equipment.
