Key Position Details:
- Hybrid position - Typically 1 or 2 days per week onsite at the Allina Commons in Minneapolis
- Job Duties include Lifting, Bending and carrying weight up to 20 pounds in support of event activities
- Preference given to candidates with experience in Event and Volunteer Managment
- Full-time role
- 8-hour, day shifts
- No weekends
Job Description: Support implementation of the community engagement strategy, including group employee volunteer events, community health improvement programs, and charitable contributions. Support leadership engagement in community initiatives. Work across Allina Health to improve visibility of community benefit and engagement programs and initiatives. Support the operations of the department as needed.
Principle Responsibilities
- Program implementation
- Leads efforts to foster employee volunteerism in collaboration with the community engagement team.
- Supports the execution of Allina Health Community Health Improvement programs across the service area
- Oversees the successful implementation of employee volunteerism events and community partner activities.
- Collaborates with marketing to enhance community engagement activities to grow visibility in the community.
- Represents the organization by delivering presentations to community groups as needed.
- Visibility and culture
- Develops and implements strategies to engage employees and promote employee volunteerism, community health improvement, community benefit, and leadership engagement.
- Identifies opportunities for and support the creation and dissemination of storytelling efforts.
- Collaborates with marketing and communications to develop and implement a cohesive community engagement communications plan.
- Operations and administrative efforts
- Supports operations of community benefit and engagement programs, including managing the employee volunteerism portal and processing charitable contributions.
- Identifies and lead the implementation of process improvements in system initiatives.
- Leads various projects as needed to support organizational goals.
- Provides general administrative support to ensure smooth operations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in public health, community health, communications, marketing or related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
- 2+ years in community health, marketing, event management, volunteer coordination and engagement, logistics, communications
