Orthopedic/Cast Technician - Orthopedic Clinic

Assists the Orthopedic Physicians in the examination, treatment, and follow-up care of patients with orthopedic conditions.

Schedule: Monday-Friday (7:00am-5:00pm)

No weekends, no holidays, and no on-call

Travel required between our ortho clinics to cover clinic needs (LOSC, Dublin, Westerville, New Albany)

Location: Livingston Orthopedic Surgery Center

Prepares patients for orthopedic procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort during the procedure.
• Applies and removes casts, splints, and braces as directed by the physician.
• Assists physicians in the reduction of fractures and dislocations.
• Orders and maintains inventory of orthopedic supplies and equipment.
• Cleans and sterilizes equipment and instruments to ensure patient safety.
• Maintains accurate patient records and ensures that they are up-to-date.

Education Requirement

* High School Diploma or equivalent, required.

Certifications

* Certification from a Medical Assisting Program, STNA, or equivalent, preferred.

Skills

* Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Experience

* One year previous healthcare experience, preferred.
* Experience as Orthopedic Cast Tech, Suture Tech, or EMT, preferred.
