Schedule: 40 Hours, Days, Full Time, Benefit Eligible Position Summary: Provide the necessary leadership and management skills to effectively supervise personnel and achieve established department objectives in accordance with hospital's mission and goals on a daily basis. Responsible for implementing and overseeing workflow systems to facilitate efficient record processing, correspondence, and record completion and ensure compliance with hospital polices and Joint Commission regulations. Supports and exemplifies the hospital established standards of behavior. Monitors productivity and scheduling of staff. Identifies and moderates employee issues. Streamlines departmental procedures and controls expenses within the department.The Coding Supervisor will be empowered to make departmental decisions in the absence of the Director of Health Information Management. Requirements: Education: Associate Degree in Health Information Technology preferred or equivalent experience Experience: 1-3 years managerial experience in an HIM Department preferred, in addition to 7-10 years overall Acute care HIM experience required.
