As part of the broader product management team, you will be accountable for the end-to-end strategy and execution of our content acquisition processes, data quality standards, and collaboration with our support functions. You will work closely with other product managers responsible for specific aspects of content ingestion, tooling, and crawler development but will play a unique role in establishing overarching strategies and ensuring robust, scalable solutions.
If you are passionate about working with data at scale, are comfortable diving deep into complex data analysis, and enjoy building strategies that prioritize customer impact and data reliability, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do:
Strategic Product Leadership:

  • Develop and execute the content acquisition and data quality strategy, ensuring alignment with product and business objectives to enhance customer satisfaction and data coverage.

  • Lead initiatives to improve data quality and reliability across our ingestion pipeline, establishing high data consistency and completeness standards.

  • Collaborate with other Product Managers and support teams to streamline data ingestion processes, improve tooling, and optimize data acquisition workflows.

Content Acquisition & Data Quality Management:

  • Define and oversee content acquisition strategies for unstructured data, including crawled and API-based sources, to ensure comprehensive data coverage for our platform.

  • Drive initiatives to improve data reliability and content accuracy, proactively identifying and addressing content gaps and quality issues.

  • Implement processes and metrics for monitoring, evaluating, and continuously enhancing data quality across ingestion points.

Innovation and Analysis:

  • Conduct detailed data analysis and quality assessments to identify trends, uncover insights, and support strategic decision-making.

  • Innovate within the content ingestion domain by introducing emerging technologies and best practices, focusing on automating repetitive tasks and scaling our data acquisition capabilities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with support functions, including engineering, operations, and client support, to drive effective, scalable solutions and ensure high-quality data is delivered to customers.

  • Act as a subject matter expert and advocate for data quality within cross-functional teams, championing best practices and providing strategic insights to drive impactful improvements.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including Product, Engineering, and Support, to ensure that our data quality and acquisition initiatives align with customer needs and business priorities.

  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to keep all stakeholders informed and engaged in ongoing projects and future developments.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Product Management, Business, or equivalent practical experience; advanced degree a plus.

  • 7+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on data acquisition, data quality, or content ingestion in a technical environment.

  • Proven ability to define and drive strategic initiatives that impact content quality and data reliability at scale.

  • Strong technical understanding of data acquisition methods (crawlers, APIs, RSS feeds) and quality control processes, with a track record of optimizing these for performance and quality.

  • Experience working with data quality metrics, analytics, and diagnostic tools to proactively manage and improve data integrity.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong partnerships and align cross-functional teams around shared goals.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to dive deep into data, draw insights, and make data-driven recommendations.

What We Offer:

  • Enjoy flexible paid time off that allows you to have an enhanced work-life balance.

  • Excellent medical, dental, and vision options

  • 401(k) matching, life insurance, commuter benefits, and parental leave plans

  • Complimentary CalmApp subscription for you and your loved ones, because mental wellness matters.
