This position is responsible for supporting DEP'S Energy Security Program including USDOE's Preventing Outages and Enhancing the Resilience of the Electric Grid program. This involves annually applying for funding, receiving federal grants, managing a grant program to award subgrants to eligible applicants, monitoring and reporting on the program. This position also supports EPO's engagements in related DOE programs related to electric grid security and resilience, collectively, Building a Better Grid. This employee also coordinates with internal and external partners and provides technical assistance regarding these programs with external entities, including ensuring that disadvantaged communities are able to benefit from these programs.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
• Occasional travel for meetings, conferences, and project management.
• Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
• Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $66,250 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year of professional experience in energy resources, energy utilization and conservation, energy technologies, or the economic impacts of energy issues, and a bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Physical Sciences, or Energy Policy; or
• Three years of professional experience in energy resources, energy utilization and conservation, energy technologies, or the economic impacts of energy issues and a bachelor's degree; or
• A master's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Physical Sciences, or Energy Policy; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
