Description This is a benefited, part time position (48 hours every 2 weeks) working 3 days/week generally from 8am-5pm. Hours will vary as needed. What you'll do: This is a Medical Assistant/Patient Service Representative Hybrid role where you will be responsible for both front and back office duties. Rooming patients. This includes, but is not limited to: Checking vitals Assisting with procedures Registration, scheduling, work queue management Clinic prep assisting with Provider specific protocols Predominantly back-office responsibilities but is expected to help with front-office duties on an as-needed basis Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment Organizes and performs patient care services that support the provider's practice Relaying instructions from the provider to the patient or authorized person Collecting patient data in person and by phone Documenting patient concerns, messages and care provided in the electronic medical record for the physician's review Administering medications specifically directed by the provider Scheduling of appointments and procedures Complete and accurate message taking Routing messages to the appropriate area for direction Order and referral entry Acquisition of pre-certifications Setting up of cases in EPIC Other duties assigned as needed Qualifications Required Qualifications: Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program OR hold a Medical Assistant Certification OR have a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA) Preferred Qualifications: Front and back office experience in a healthcare environment Job : Clinical Support Primary Location : Northern San Diego County-ENCINITAS-SCRIPPS CLINIC - ENCINITAS Work Locations : SCRIPPS CLINIC - ENCINITAS 326 SANTA FE DRIVE ENCINITAS 92024 Organization : Scripps Clinic Job Posting : Nov 22, 2024, 8:30:31 PM Benefit Status : PT - PART-TIME WITH BENEFITS Minimum Rate (USD) : 23.92 - Maximum Rate (USD) : 30.83 In compliance with the California Pay Transparency Act, Scripps Health posts the pay range for all jobs.
