Genentech is seeking a talented and highly motivated Principal Scientist in Computational Biology to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to our data-driven projects, collaborating closely with the Immunology Discovery & Regenerative Medicine Departments. The Opportunity Recent advancements at Genentech and in the larger scientific community have highlighted the importance of understanding cellular niches and cell-cell communication for identifying novel drug targets. In this role, you will focus on research in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). Your primary responsibility will be to plan and analyze multi-omic experiments, with a particular emphasis on spatial transcriptomics data from patient tissues. The goal is to maximize insights into COPD biology and disease progression, directly informing novel therapeutic target and biomarker discovery, and addressing key project team questions related to forward and reverse translation.

Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
