Overview

Software Engineer III to work intensely with the data work stream through all phases of an engagement, including conceptual design, detailed design, implementation, testing and production deployment. Responsibilities entail defining, assembling and presenting all technical data deliverables and work products. Must be comfortable leading internal meetings, presenting and defending analysis findings to key stakeholders, and participating on client calls.



Responsibilities

    Ensure that applications meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues.
  • Review and analyze existing applications effectiveness and efficiency, and then develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems.
  • Work effectively with business liaison to identify and analyze needs.
  • Attend fact-gathering sessions (when applicable), analyze and solve problems with some assistance
  • Work effectively with the project team to identify, estimate, prioritize and resolve issues
  • Develops business oriented data dictionaries.
  • Provide data input during an engagement that will impact scope and delivery
  • Provide input into the technical architecture and the data warehouse technology stack, as well
  • New feature development and maintenance on Angular / .NET MVC web apps supported by multi layered APIs (experience / process / system level APIs)
  • Write SQL scripts for CRUD operations / Stored procedure development
  • Design & Develop APIs as per specifications and business needs including peer process code reviews
  • Assess current API interfaces, formats, specifications, domains and service definitions to determine migration approach from current state to target state all while being able to support legacy formats
  • Be self-supportive in collaborating with your peers and developers to effectively deliver robust solutions by providing technical advice, coaching and mentoring


Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience
  • Experience with full stack development, including application, API (RESTful), testing, and automation experience
  • NET(C#) / javascript languages
  • Git source control
  • Front end frameworks (Angular preferred)
  • SQL for database design (MSSQL, Elastic, etc.)
  • API/Application security best practices
  • Unit test frameworks (.NET / javascript)
  • Experience working in an Agile Scrum oriented environment and collaborating with the team to solve technical challenges using rapid and iterative development
  • Superior communication skills with the ability to interface with business analysts to discuss timelines, clarify requirements, enhancements, and bug fixes

  • Azure DevOps Work Management
  • Azure DevOps Pipelines
  • Cloud experience (AWS / Azure)
  • Containers / Kubernetes
  • Advanced API Design
  • Advanced Database design and administration

Nice to Have:

  • Insurance Experience
