Job Title: Card Services Manager

What you'll do: Western Alliance Bank is seeking a Card Services Manager to lead card operations for credit and debit cards. This position is within one of the bank's top strategic product investments. The Card Services Manager will be a key leader within a high-value, fast-paced environment, reporting to the Senior Manager of Card Services. They will lead momentous change and transformation of commercial credit and debit card services. The Manager will have a seasoned team of seven non-exempt representatives and a lead.
What we are looking for:
- As a Card Services Manager, you will be responsible for servicing and supporting our Debit and Commercial card customers.
- The Card Services Manager will lead the team's continuous process design and improvement efforts to deliver efficiencies in working through queues of requests coming from multiple channels to meet SLAs.
- This can include account set-ups, card product changes, payments, debit chargebacks, card delivery, quality assurance, movement of funds internally, approvals of maintenance, and is responsible for team development.
- Being a change agent is important to drive efficiencies and automation while mitigating risk.
- The right candidate will play a significant role as a Subject Matter Expert in projects with some ownership of product and process development.
- This position requires balancing tactical work with strategic goals while understanding the current state of our service model to design a roadmap for future endeavors.
- Since this role will drive change, the Card Services Manager will have visibility and regular interaction with Bank Executives and other highly visible leaders.
- Western Alliance is looking for someone who leads by example, introduces new business disciplines, shows enthusiasm, is organized, and manages their time effectively.
What you need to have:
- 4+ years' experience in banking demonstrating the ability to think strategically, deliver innovation, and create centers of excellence.
- 2+ years of previous direct people leadership experience coaching, mentoring, and team management
- 2+ years of experience with Debit, Consumer Credit, Commercial Card, B2B, B2C, or Virtual Card products in an operational or servicing capacity.
- Experience working with issuing platforms, such as TSYS, FIS, or Fiserv.
- Proven background in implementing new practices and technology leading to higher efficiencies, scalability, and improved risk controls.
- Experience in working within the card regulatory and legal compliance obligations, industry standards and best practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Travel 25% of the time.
Compensation: Salary range for new hires is generally $101,245.00 - $125,065.00 for Las Vegas, NV. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned and restricted stock.
