We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to join our team at the Rio Tinto Kennecott Bingham Canyon Mine as a Mine Execution Supervisor.This role acts as front-line supervisor, responsible for the direct supervision of operating employees and deployment of equipment to meet production and safety requirement. This role is a great opportunity to work in a challenging and exciting environment,you will be responsible for:
- Recommending and/or initiating actions involving establishing job expectations, providing direction or work priorities and methods of performing tasks
- Scheduling staff for appropriate work shifts and maintaining desired levels of productivity, quality, costs, and service
- Implementing production operation plan to maximize productivity while minimizing cost and environmental impacts
- Coordinating the assignment of people and equipment to safely, effectively and efficiently accomplish the plan
- Contributing the continuous improvement of the mine and lowering of costs by identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement and innovation
- Collaborating with other functions in the performance of duties
- Completing shift reports, timesheets, incident reports, monthly reports and other required reports
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards and procedures
- Assuming all legal responsibilities as required by local mining legislation
What you will bring

- A High school diploma or GED, bachelor's degree is desirable
- 5+ year of mining, or heavy construction experience. Experience in the mining industry isn't essential - we will consider transferable skills from other industries
- Prior roads experience in a mine or construction setting preferred
- Ability to execute a daily plan, and able to make adjustments as needed
- A good understanding of operations and the ability to instill good operational work practices in their team.
- Previous / Current frontline leadership Experience
- Passion and enthusiasm to continually improve - safety, production, and quality
- A genuine interest in people and people development, someone who can authentically communicate and bring out the best in people
- A strong work ethic, dedication to their teams, peers, and business objectives
- Adaptable, flexible, and resilient
- Excellent communication skills to lead a team of operators, and liaise between operations / maintenance / operational control and integration

Where you'll be working
Our Kennecott mine is a world-class, fully integrated copper mining operation, including a concentrator, smelter and refinery, located just outside Salt Lake City, Utah, in the United States. We produce copper, precious metals including gold and silver, molybdenum and sulfuric acid. Kennecott has been mining and processing minerals from the rich ore body of the Bingham Canyon Mine since 1903, and is one of the top producing mines in the world, comprising approximately 11 percent of U.S. annual copper production.
