Description

  • Repairs mechanical equipment as assigned using his knowledge and experience to perform top quality repairs in quickest and most cost-efficient manner possible.
  • Research equipment manuals and OEM repair literature to assure that original manufacturer's
    recommendations and repair procedures are being followed.
  • Recognizes the requirement for accurate alignment and aligns equipment within very close tolerances using the reverse alignment procedure whenever possible.
  • Recognizes the value of a preventative maintenance program. Implements the company's established program as well as suggesting and recommending additional ways of extending equipment service life and reducing downtime.
  • Follows and promotes company safety policies constantly keeping his personal safety and the safety of fellow employees foremost in his activities.
  • Practices good housekeeping, maintaining shop and field-work areas clean, orderly, and safe.
  • Maintains and records time spent on each job.
  • Constantly strives to increase his knowledge in his special craft as well as cross training in other crafts with the goal of multi-craft proficiency.
  • Maintains constant vigilance for and reports any deviations from company standards and specifications.
  • Comply with all company policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Works fair share of overtime as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Participates on call duty roster.
