ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Manages all aspects of the assembly manufacturing operation to include but not limited to manufacturing processes, maintenance, equipment, procedures, work instructions, and schedules.
  • Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas of automotive parts production.
  • Create, maintain, and improve functional relationships with other operational and organizational departments to gain input on product and process requirements and needs.
  • Develop processes and work improvement systems and ensures regulatory compliance.
  • Manage and support preventive maintenance programs.
  • Plan and coordinate departmental activities to fulfill sales orders, meet inventory requirements, and deliver manufactured products in a timely fashion.
  • Responsible for positively influencing and strategic development for salary team members.
  • Continually review with foreman/supervisors their job tasks and work together to create cost saving measures and/or ideas to improve quality and service.
  • Provide direct reports with structure and guidance to effectively perform their job tasks. Complete routine assessments and provide feedback to each team member to ensure continued career growth.
  • Ensure Safety, Environmental, Health, and Training compliance.
  • Develops and maintains reporting, charting and tracking of all major KPIs. Implement and track corrective actions to continuously improve each major KPI.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A bachelor's degree, technical field preferred. Six (6) years' experience in a leadership role preferred. Automotive manufacturing is preferred.
  • Proven knowledge of machining processes and leadership experience in a machining operation.
  • Must have previously demonstrated complete knowledge of production, scheduling and shipping operations.
  • Familiarity with IATF16949, ISO14001, and OSHA regulations.
  • Must demonstrate excellent verbal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and coordinate team efforts to accomplish goals.
  • Previous managerial experience. Experience in hiring, conducting performance reviews, and giving/receiving corrective action.
  • Must be proficient in MSWord, Excel, and PowerPoint.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the direction of entire assembly staff.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk. The employee occasionally is required to stand; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position works in a warehouse/production environment. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

The performance of this position requires exposure to the manufacturing areas where certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment.

The employee must be willing to work off shift hours when required to support their staff.
