Job Summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Endpoint Engineering Manager (EIS Manager). We are looking for an experienced and passionate manager to join our team and lead the End-User Platforms, Device Management Engineering team. In this role, you will lead our client engineering team in developing and maintaining the foundation of our client platforms, including Windows, Mac, and mobile clients. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Enterprise Engineering, Information Security, and Customer Experience teams and serve as the focal point for delivering end-user capabilities that enhance and support the business. The ideal candidate is an experienced manager with hands-on technical experience, and a proven track record of leading teams in developing complex technical systems. We are looking for someone who is motivated, organized, and driven to deliver the best end-user solutions for our employees.

Work Model

This position will be a hybrid work model and offer partially remote with 80% onsite work required in El Segundo, CA or Chantilly, VA as the business needs allow.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage the delivery of all enterprise end-user capabilities while ensuring both device and software operate in alignment with IT needs and standards
  • Plan and execute on enterprise endpoint projects including but not limited to the roll out of new enhancements, major system upgrades, consolidation of endpoint tool stack as well as 'end of life' transitions
  • Oversee the implementation of security measures to protect end user devices and data, including encryption, access controls, and antivirus solutions
  • Provide direct technical guidance and support to the team and other departments
  • Establish and enhance team processes identifying inefficiencies, risks, and ways to improve overall delivery
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify and address pain points and areas for improvement in the employee technology experience
  • Monitor and analyze key metrics related to employee experience and leverage insights to drive continuous improvement
  • Identify opportunities to streamline end user device management processes, reduce manual efforts, and increase efficiency through automation
  • Drive initiatives to enable self-service capabilities and automation across all supported technology areas including software deployment, hardware imaging
  • Participate in technology evaluations and recommend standardized solutions that align with enterprise objectives and budget constraints
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of knowledge base articles, user guides, and training materials to empower end users and promote self-service support options
  • Maintain accurate documentation of end user computing configurations, procedures, and policies
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives
  • Oversee vendor performance, negotiate contracts, and drive value-added partnerships to support our technology initiatives

What You Need to be Successful - EIS Manager

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in managing teams responsible for Microsoft 365, Unified Communications, Collaboration Services, and End User Compute Engineering
  • Strong technical proficiency in operating systems (Windows, macOS) and endpoint management solutions (e.g., Microsoft Intune, MECM (software packaging and delivery), JAMF, EDR & MDM solutions), M365 (Group policy & Powershell), Active Directory
  • Strong track-record of exemplifying customer service excellence and accountability/ownership for the total customer experience while influencing others to raise their level of customer service
  • Experience with endpoint security practices and technologies
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience performing root cause analysis
  • Proven experience coaching, providing direction, and motivating team members
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a secret level security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

How You Can Stand Out

It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:

  • TS/SCI clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one
  • Strong understanding of self-service technologies, automation frameworks, and best practices that are applicable to a regulated environment
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute technology strategies that align with enterprise objectives
  • Strong technical proficiency in Linux operating system, desktop virtualization technologies (e.g., Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, and Linux)
  • Experience using ITIL-based service management processes to deliver support (e.g. incident management, service request management, knowledge management)
  • Strong time management skills including the ability to multi-task, organize workflow, prioritize tasks and manage a changing workload individually and across a team
  • Hands-on experience in building enterprise level IT infrastructure and systems Experience with macOS system updates and provisioning
  • Firm understanding of configuration management and automation to maintain software standards
  • Experience in the development of operational procedures, processes, and scripts
  • Experience with integrating endpoint management tools with business processes to optimize software delivery
  • Understanding of Certificates and Authorities

We offer a competitive compensation package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.

$121,128 - $175,000 Pay Basis: Annual
