Join Our Mission:

The tutor is responsible for providing educational after-school activities targeted to meet the goals of the program.

Essential Functions:



  • Serves as a liaison between program participants/parents, partners and school.
  • Develops and provides regularly scheduled educational and recreational activities reflective of the identified goal of No Child Left Behind, under the supervision of the Group Home Manager,


  • Assists Group Home Manager with assessing academic, social and emotional needs of children and families served in the program and recommends referrals for additional services as necessary.
  • Assists in monitoring/tracking youth attendance, progress in program, and completes required documentation including daily progress
  • Participates in regularly scheduled meetings with assigned supervisor.
  • Maintains clean and safe physical environment for students during tutoring hour.


  • Adheres to agency policies and procedures; follows and supports agency mission, vision and values including participating in internal surveys and data collection for continuous improvement initiatives.


  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Education & Work Experience Requirements:



  • Minimum Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in classroom/tutorial setting
  • Must have a current and valid driver's license with acceptable driving history to the Agency.
  • Ability to work with a culturally and economically diverse population.



Schedule & Pay:



  • Per Diem Schedule
  • $25.69 hourly
