Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Finance, this role will lead and direct the employee groups, programs, and strategies in key areas of the Finance organization. These include, but are not limited to: Tax and Financial Regulatory Compliance, Payroll Services, Accounts Payable, and Financial Reporting. This is a Fulltime remote position. This is a two-year fixed-term position with a defined start and end date. This Senior Director, Financial Operations will be responsible to:
- Provide oversight of the Financial Reporting Operations, including evaluation of operational improvements to the hospital's monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes as well as the corporate consolidation of all CMCC affiliates; direct the analytical framework/infrastructure supporting the monthly, quarterly and year-end closes; ensure accounting and reporting consistency across disparate units; set strategic direction for reporting enhancements to internal as well as external financial statement reporting for the hospital enterprise.
- Oversight of the Hospital's Accounts Payable (AP) Department, including strategic direction and execution of end to end Procure to Pay (P2P) continuous improvement initiatives, in partnership with Supply Chain Management (SCM); ensure compliance with all regulatory and filing requirements associated with daily operations of AP, while maintaining a strong financial control environment; direct the oversight of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) used to monitor staff productivity and customer satisfaction objectives; direct analyses and reporting associated with the Accounts Payable Operations
- Oversight of the organization-wide comprehensive tax planning and reporting process, including monitoring compliance with applicable tax statutes; final review of all tax and regulatory returns collated by the Hospital's Tax Director
- Oversight of the Payroll Dept, including development and implementation of policies and procedures in collaboration with HR and the General Counsel's Office; development of a service model that ensures timely responses to employee and management inquiries and requests; ensures compliance with Federal and State regulatory requirements, ensuring that payroll processes and requests are auditable and consistent with documented established approvals; designs short-term and long-term strategies for continuous improvement in the Payroll Operations

To qualify, you must have:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. Experience may substitute for an advanced degree and certification
- 15 years of experience in finance preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive management/leadership experience required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
- Strong working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, taxes, payroll, accounts payable, internal controls, and complex financial statement reporting
- Strong working knowledge of regulatory requirements
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and analytical skills
- Must be willing to commit to a two-year fixed-term position with a defined start and end date
