JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Pennsylvania State University Eberly College of Science is seeking an Administrative Assistant-intermediate support. The selected candidate will be a detail-oriented and organized individual who will primarily perform administrative planning and coordination of dean's office events, conferences, lectures, and receptions. This position will also assist with financial functions to support the college's dean's office to include scheduling meetings, processing financial forms and purchasing card transactions as well as provide back-up administrative support for the dean as needed. These various tasks will be performed with minimal supervision. The selected candidate will also be responsible for:
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.This position also requires basic computer knowledge and skills and excellent communication (oral and written) skills. General computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) is required. This position offers a flexible work arrangement that combines remote and on-campus work. Questions related to flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process. This position requires a minimum of a High School Diploma/GED or Vocational Training/Degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
