Other minimum qualifications

  • High school graduation and three years of related experience involving duties of increasing responsibility requiring discretion and independent judgment, or Associate's Degree and one year of related experience, or a combination of higher education and related experience equal to three years.
  • Advanced computer skills, including complex word processing, e-mail, spreadsheets, database management, use of search engines, and other software applications as required by hiring department/unit.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven front-line customer service experience Organizational skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students and the general public.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Enrollment Manger and NH-SAA reporting requirements.
  • Familiarity with veteran's educational benefit chapters, processes, and protocols.
  • Experience with all levels of higher education including adult learners. Familiarity with paper and electronic records.
  • Exposure to education software products such as CourseLeaf, Parchment, National Student Clearinghouse, Banner, DegreeWorks, and Xtender.
  • A solid understanding of and the capacity to clearly communicate and explain policies and procedures.
  • Capable of adhering to legal requirements and regulations and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Experience with office duties requiring discretion, prioritization, research and time-sensitivity.
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment that experiences frequent changes and interruptions.
  • Self-motivated and committed to continuous improvement and willingness to learn new tasks.

Duty/Responsibility

  • VA Certification: Manages daily certification for veterans' educational benefits; responsible for outreach regarding enrollment and documentation; responsible for collecting enrollment documents, certifying, and updating all certifications as needed using Banner Workflow and the enrollment Manger system.
  • Participates in grade and academic processing for Military Tuition Assistance Programs(


TAP/ArmyIgnitEd).

  • Participate in processing program changes (e.g., major/minor/catalog)
  • Course Scheduling: Manages course scheduling email and complete majority of requests coming to this account to include: Creating new courses, canceling courses, changing course setup, and adjusting instructors.
  • Manages all registrar-related processes for external partnerships. Liaison between registrar's office and individual departments running the partnerships; creation and management of individual registration documents, protocols, and timelines. Registrar Office point person for NEBHE



Duty/Responsibility

  • Support operations of the registrar's office utilizing various computer and online solutions including, but not limited to Banner, Xtender, Parchment and the National Student Clearinghouse. Scan/Index documents daily and utilize MS Office to accomplish daily tasks.
  • Cultivate trust in the registrar's office by offering quick and accurate answers to questions and reducing the need to shuffle students. Provide general academic information and assistance in a professional and efficient manner, clearly explain university academic policies and procedures and point out resources for self-service.
  • Act as the second-in-line in assisting with the main phone line and with office walk-ins. Research and resolve routine issues; triage more complex as necessary. Prioritize responsibilities to ensure time-sensitive needs are managed quickly.
  • Perform a wide variety of very detailed and time-sensitive data entry and recordkeeping duties relating to student record maintenance in the student information database. Understand appropriate technology and workflow to leverage as a resource for better customer service.
  • Communicate academic and student service-related matters and/or specific policy information related to clusters and assist in up-dating and/or developing policies and procedures.
  • Share in the management of the registrar email account.



Duty/Responsibility

  • Participate in office-wide projects to include new student pre-scheduling, cross-training and software testing as well as events such as orientation, graduates day, and/or events such as commencement preparation activities.
  • Assist in researching issues regarding compliance with government and other external regulations and assist with compliance as required.
  • Enroll/register non-matriculated and audit status students.
  • Run error reports and resolve issues to maintain data.
  • Serve as backup for main registrar departmental email.
  • Communicate academic and student service related matters and/or specific policy information related to clusters and assisting in updating and/or developing policies and procedures.



Duty/Responsibility

  • Attend meetings of appropriate committees as delegated, with ability to respond to questions concerning related office issues, and to report meeting content to supervisor.
  • Create final exam schedule.
  • Assist with training student assistants
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned
  • Maintain a neat and organized workstation
  • Exhibit discretion and maintain confidentiality in communicating sensitive information and in handling confidential materials.
