Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities? Join us as a Community Work Incentives Coordinator (CWIC) and help guide SSI and SSDI recipients on their journey to employment and financial independence!

Position Highlights:

What You'll Do:

  • Empower Through Education: Provide expert advice on work incentives planning and assist individuals with disabilities in navigating employment opportunities.
  • Be a Health Benefits Guru: Offer valuable insights into health benefits, including how employer-provided coverage interacts with Medicare and/or MaineCare.
  • Champion for Advocacy: Educate beneficiaries on the availability of protection and advocacy services and how to access them.
  • Connect and Collaborate: Work alongside Federal, State, private, and non-profit organizations to provide comprehensive support.
  • Engage the Community: Conduct regular work incentives education sessions and outreach across your designated service area.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Rehabilitation or related field required. 2. License/Certifications: Social Security Administration Community Work Incentives Coordinator certification required within 12 months of start date. 3. Experience: Three years of relevant experience preferred. 4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A 5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: N/A
