Surgical position is rotating days and nights, majority days

MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Portland, ME, is recruiting for a Physician Assistant (PA) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) with3+years of surgical experience to work in the Adult Cardiovascular surgery service. This is a Full-Time rotating position which includes call and weekends. It is primarily an operative position but also must be versed in ICU and stepdown unit care. There is no outpatient responsibilities. You will be joining a comprehensive Cardiac Surgery program consisting of 7 Cardiac Surgeons and 32PAs/ACNPs. This is a wonderful opportunity to work in an exciting environment with a broad scope of practice. The APP team works with a high level of autonomy supported by the Cardiac Surgeons and Cardiovascular Critical Care Intensivists to provide a high level of care for this leading-edge program. Cardiac surgery at Maine Medical Center is at the forefront of minimally invasive valve platforms, such asTAVR, MIS valve, complex aortic treatmentsas well as advanced heart failure treatments, including ECMO andVADs.

Minimum Qualifications:

*3+ years of surgical experience including endoscopic vessel harvesting

*Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.

*Successful completion of accredited Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.

*Current license issued by the State of Maine or eligible for licensure.

*Current BLS certification.
