Shift Schedule:

Monday through Saturday with one day off during the week in addition to Sunday, 6am-4pm

Job Purpose and Overview

As a Shipper/Receiver you will participate in the manufacturing warehouse activities related to receiving, storing, selecting, shipping, dispatching, and delivery of product to ensure effective and efficient warehouse operations and product transportation.

What Does It Take to be a Shipper/Receiver at Dawn Foods?

Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job.



  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Preferred
  • Safe operation of forklift, reach truck, pallet jack, and hand jack with experience preferred
  • Requires oral, written and communication skills
  • Must be able to handle many diversified tasks at one time and correctly prioritize time
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
  • Computer skills helpful


What You'll Do as a Shipper/Receiver



  • Safely load trailers in an even and productive fashion.
  • Adhere to GMP, Food Safety, and food industry audits
  • Inspection Process - Visually inspect each pallet for bad seals, torn bags, proper and accurate lot-coding and labels, accurate quantity of bags, and inspect the quality of the wooden pallets.
  • Scan ingredients into warehouse system and store in appropriate areas utilizing a handheld scanner
  • Use of ERP system called SAP - Responsible to enter and review the proper SAP Batch which will include the 8-digit material number, the SAP lot code, the amount of bags, the SU number, perform the put away by SU Number to predetermined location based on strategies.
  • Use of the production schedule. Be aware and follow the production schedule list to ensure proper pallets are used and all other relevant information.
  • Storage practices to include First In/First Out (FIFO) - Rotate stock to ensure "First In/ First Out" requirements are properly executed for the shipping of manufactured goods.
  • Work closely with other warehouse team members performing the same job function.
  • Correctly select; palletize and shrink wrap customer order preparing them for delivery.
  • Maintain cleanliness of entire warehouse and practice safe food handling procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrate the "Dawn Values" of Team Dawn and supports the Circle of Excellence.

  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 - 75 pounds and potentially team lift/move up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
