Required Qualification: (as evidenced by an attached resume) Preferred Qualification: Duties: Duties:: * Perform research in experimental condensed matter physics in collaboration with the PI. In particular, the incumbent will be expected to participate in the building of a cryogenic s-SNOM and investigate the low-temperature properties of 2D and strongly correlated electron systems such as graphene, HTSC using s-SNOM. The incumbent is expected to be familiar with the main features of the next generation of closed-cycle or continuous-flow optical cryostat and scanning probes. * The incumbent will be evaluated for creativity, quantitative skills, and capabilities to clearly present the results of work with scientific papers and seminars. * Mentor graduate and undergraduate students in the research group. * Present results of research at conferences and workshops. * Assist PI with the preparation and submission of applications for external research funding, progress reports to sponsors, and publications. * Other duties as assigned.
