Overview

Stellar Solutions is seeking Mechanical /Electrical assembly, integration and test (AI&T) support for a NASA program. The Assembly, Integration and Test (AI&T) support shall occur on-site at the customer facilities in North Logan, Utah.



Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications

In this role, candidate shall perform mechanical and electrical assembly, integration, and test (AI&T) tasks for space flight hardware and associated ground support equipment. These tasks may include:

    Following written procedures
  • Assembling of simple and complex parts and assemblies
  • Cleaning of parts and assemblies
  • Recording work completed
  • Interfacing with other disciplines, e.g. quality assurance, machine shop, contamination control group, thermal-vacuum service center, etc.
  • Working evenings and weekend shifts as needed
  • Monitoring testing (e.g. testing in vacuum chambers)
  • Generating material for program reviews (e.g., Pre-Ship Review)
  • Attending team meetings

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to perform physical activities which require considerable use of arms, legs and moving entire body, such as climbing (e.g., to access large chambers), lifting (approximately 50 lbs.), balancing, walking, stopping and handling of materials
  • Ability to spend substantial time standing
  • Ability to see and handle small parts with sufficient precision and dexterity
  • Ability to hear audible machine sounds (i.e., pitch change, valve closure, etc.) and determine when a change in sound likely indicates an issue
  • Ability to wear complete clean-room apparel (cap, hood, mask, overall, gloves, wrist tape, boots) for hours at a time
  • BS in STEM related field
  • Ability to see projects through from start to finish
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and detail oriented
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to identify and work through problems that may arise
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work with other team members for completion of required tasks
  • Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain a US government security clearance

Desired Experience

  • Experience with space flight hardware and the associated care, cleanliness, documentation, and other protocols
  • Applicable technical training
  • Assembly and test of small, intricate mechanical assemblies
  • Ability to support electrical integration and test activities as needed
  • Experience working in a cleanroom or with minimizing contamination during assembly
  • Experience with environmental testing including thermal vacuum chambers and vibration testing

You will contribute significantly to the successful integration and testing of critical hardware components for a NASA program. Your hands-on expertise will help ensure the program's goals are met, making a meaningful impact on space safety and exploration.
