Relocation Assistance Available. As a Driver Instructor, you will be responsible for providing instruction and monitor teaching/learning effectiveness. You will provide students with the understanding and skills necessary so that graduates are ready to serve our communities in a safe and professional manner. As a Driver Trainer with us you will be responsible for the following:
- Provide students with information about the goals and requirements of each course, the nature of the course content and the methods of evaluation to be employed, including required classroom behavior.
- Present course content in an engaging and interactive way, focusing on adult learning principles.
- Follow daily lesson plans to ensure quality, consistency, and uniformity of instruction and student content.
- Assist in continuously improving course content and training methodologies.
- Keep accurate attendance records and submit required class documents in a timely manner.
- Measure each student's progress through the use of exams or performance assessments essential to mastery of objectives.
- Advise students on their progress covering course material.
- Provide supplemental materials and/or instruction when necessary.
- Be responsible for the efficient and safe operation, care, and appearance of academy facilities and equipment.
- Represent the academy at job fairs, informational fairs, orientations, etc. to present information about the truck driving academy, when necessary.
- Assist in developing training schedules, managing enrollment, and tracking all required records, certifications, etc.
- Handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Maintain excellent working relationships with coworkers and participants.
- Work a flexible schedule as determined by instructional activities.
- Must be knowledgeable, mature, and concerned with the learning progress of participants
- Must be a self-starter and positive role model with the ability to effectively communicate both orally and in written form.
- Must have the ability to instruct and maintain emotional control under stress.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What we need from you:
- Valid Class B CDL
- Clean driving record
- At least 3 years of Waste industry driving experience
