CDL Examiner

The 3rd Party Examiner is responsible for all of the CDL testing requirements and regulations in Texas. Along with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct CDL examinations in accordance with Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) guidelines
• Evaluate applicants' driving skills and knowledge to determine eligibility for CDL issuance
• Ensure the safety and security of testing equipment and materials
• Maintain accurate records of examination results and provide timely reports to the appropriate authorities
• Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity at all times

Requirements:

• Valid CDL Examiner certification issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety or eligible to obtain one - requirements here: https://www.dps.texas.gov/section/driver-license/cdl-third-party-skills-testing-program
• Excellent knowledge of Texas CDL testing requirements and regulations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and accuracy

* Ability to prepare and present training materials to large groups
* Ability to maintain accurate records, complete forms, and complete essential paperwork
* Ability to operate proprietary software and Microsoft Office

* General working knowledge of commercial vehicle operating systems
