The Clinical Effectiveness Coordinator will analyze and report on key clinical performance measures (Stroke, Sepsis and other quality indicators) by identifying and accessing relevant data sources, aggregating and manipulating data as needed, preparing graphs and tables from data, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of data and reported measures, and submitting information to CMS and other agencies as requested. Will serve as a resource and coach for quality data analysis and reporting, help create and maintain clinical registries and associated datasets, and support the analysis and reporting needs of organization-wide quality improvement projects as well as planning and evaluation related to clinical quality, patient safety and patient experience. Collect and submit accurate, complete, and timely data for the specific registry. This task is accomplished through high-quality data compilation, documentation, and data entry of identified procedures performed/or disease process treatment into the associated registry/vendor tool platform. Oversees daily management of retrospective chart reviews as identified by the Director.


Qualifications

Requirements:

EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate degree from an accredited College or University in Nursing required.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University preferred.
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in an acute care setting required.
  • Previous experience in Quality Management or Performance Improvement preferred.
  • 3 years of progressive clinical experience in neurological nursing and RN Licensure, ACLS AND BLS.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • CPI is required either within 30 days or the next full class if after 30 days.
  • Previous experience in case review, quality management, chart audits and/or implementing actions to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Understanding of the goals of the Center of Excellence (COE) programs (Stroke & Sepsis).
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills required to effectively collaborate with multiple stakeholders to obtain management, staff, and physician involvement and accountability in achieving specific outcomes.
  • Ability to simultaneously address and prioritize multiple projects, demands and issues.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills, advanced analytical skills, be well organized, and maintain a highly professional manner and appearance.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of self-motivation, assertiveness, and goal-attaining capabilities.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

  • Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.

Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality, preferred
