Essential Accountabilities:

* Performs general accounting tasks

* Prepare monthly journal entries and account analyses in an accurate and timely fashion.

* Responsible for the monthly reconciliation of accounts including bank, pledges, receivables, investments, payables, due from/to affiliates and revenues.

* Perform close coordination with Gifts Processing team including review and analysis of pledges and revenue.

* Manages and monitors the assigned Foundation entities within the Pooled Trust or the whole Pooled Trust, as assigned.

* Records, verify, process and distribute check requests from various requestors of funds.

* Performs monthly financial close process, preparation and distribution of financial statements to Hospital Accounting team.

* Performs quarterly process including preparation and distribution of internal assets reports and annuity payments.

* Assists the Manager in Budget vs Actual variance explanations.

* Assists in interim and year-end external financial audit process, including preparation of workpapers, flux schedules and other analyses.

* Assists the Manager in Foundation Auxiliary's coordination of financial statements for the board and for the audit.

* Responsible for Foundation Auxiliary's year-end audit assistance.

* Prepare annual 990 Tax Returns for assigned Foundation entity/s and coordination with External Reporting.

* Assists Manager in resolving issues related to standard financial practices.

* Compliance to Department Policies and Procedures.

* Monitors system of internal controls.

* Develop and maintain Department Shared Drive (Z drive) and retention of files.

Shift: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm (2 - 3 days onsite at Radnor)

Experience:

* A minimum of five years experience of general accounting experience is required.

* Five years of hospital accounting experience utilizing financial systems or equivalent in education and experience may be preferred.

* Three years experience in Foundation/Fund Accounting is preferred.

Education:

Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Bachelor Degree Major in Accounting from an accredited institution is required or a minimum of 15 years of general accounting experience in a hospital or foundation in lieu of a degree required.

Certifications:

Certified Public Accountant is preferred but is not required.
