About the College/Unit/Department
The Department of Psychology has approximately 45 faculty members, 90 doctoral students, and 2100 undergraduate Psychology majors. UGA is a land and sea grant institution located in Athens, 65 miles northeast of Atlanta, the state capital ( www.visitathensga.com; www.uga.edu). Athens is well known for its quality of life, affordable cost of living, and easy access to both outdoor and urban activities (exploregeorgia.org). It is an excellent place to relocate for those of all ages.
